About the role

As Finance Director, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of our port facility’s financial functions. You will ensure sound financial management, regulatory compliance, and provide strategic advice to the Board. Your role includes capital planning, investment projects, tariff setting, and performance monitoring – all to strengthen the port’s growth and competitiveness.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all financial processes and reports.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and contribute to achieving organisational goals.

Other responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling.

  • Oversee daily finance operations: accounting, reporting, treasury, billing, and collections.

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment portfolios.

  • Advise the CEO and Board on performance, forecasts, and risks.

  • Monitor capital expenditure and project costs.

  • Ensure timely and accurate audits.

  • Support expansion and development projects.

  • Build, lead, and develop the finance team.

  • Optimise financial processes and ERP data integrity.

Leadership and team development

  • Build a high-performing finance team with a culture of accountability.

  • Coach and inspire team members.

Vereisten

Your profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

  • CPA, ACCA, RC or similar designation required.

Experience

  • 5+ years in finance leadership roles, ideally in infrastructure, transportation, or logistics.

  • Experience with large capital projects, tariffs, and complex stakeholder environments.

  • Knowledge of port operations is a strong advantage.

Skills

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial modelling skills.

  • Proficient with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Able to operate in complex regulatory and commercial environments.
